Why do I write?
Why do I write?
It may be imperfect.
And it may seem incoherent.
Yet, it forms the most beautiful way,
For me to try and express who I am.
Sounding better than my speech,
Which is often hazy and confusing,
It forms an amazing way,
For reviewing the past through my thoughts.
To look at how I viewed the world,
In those moments when words flew out from the tip of my pen,
My understanding and emotions, the analysis of my existence from times gone by.
Freeing my mind instantly,
It creates space for new ideas to fill in.
And the best part?
I wouldn't have to trade my old memories out for new ones,
My thoughts saved as printed text, for future revisits.
Liberating my soul and giving me perspective,
Writing brings me joy,
Perhaps my words aren't exotic or rare,
Beautifully described or written to bring sights to life,
But those words are mine.
And through impressive tools of grammar and punctuation, Oh! The mere magic that can be brewed, with a few twists and turns in language!
There's so much a few written words of text can do.
There's so much that words can do,
For someone who cherishes them like I do.
Good initiative Anu. Keep writing, this way you will get an opportunity to open up. With time you will get clarity on what to write. Best wishes.
